Unique Cockpit Dash Panel Watch of the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) of WWI. Lumionous version of S.Alexander & Son 8 Day Mark IVA watch appeared at the very beginning of the War and was soon replaced with the non-luminous watch models due to the lumionous paint falling off caused by aircraft vibrations. This watch is one of the very few remaining luminous examples. Approximately 1914. The original case is marked with a broad Arrow. Ref: #1884 Z Mechanism Type: Manual Winding. Cal: Octavia 15 Jewels 8 Days. Diameter (without crown): 52 mm. Height: 12 mm. Condition: Perfect condition for its age and historical usage. As seen in the photos. Watch is ticking at present and has been serviced recently.
